Annie Oakley was born in Greenville, Ohio, in August 1860. At a young age, she developed an interest in shooting, initially as a means of survival following her father's death when she was six years old, which left her family in poverty. Annie began hunting and trapping, selling surplus game to locals. Her skills gained wider recognition when she won a shooting match against marksman Frank Butler at the age of 15. She later married Mr. Butler, and the couple traveled together, joining Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. Photos in comments ⬇️
