Rotary Club of New Braunfels

Rotary Club of New Braunfels Rotary Club of New Braunfels was founded in 1937 and is one of the largest clubs in District 5840.

The objective of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an op

portunity to serve society;

THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. Together we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Making an Impact, One Bottle Cap at a Time ๐Ÿ’™

The Rotary Club of New Braunfels Interact Club continues to lead with purpose and heart.

Interact Club is Rotaryโ€™s service and leadership program for students ages 12โ€“18, sponsored by local Rotary clubs and focused on developing young leaders through hands-on community and international projects.

Led locally by David Paulos, the New Braunfels Interact Club has grown to include more than 30 student members who are actively serving and making a difference.

One of our incredible Interact students recently took initiative to create a dedicated collection station on campus, giving fellow students an easy way to contribute by depositing plastic bottle caps. What might seem small is part of something much bigger.

These caps are collected as part of the clubโ€™s international service project and sent to a private recycling company in Ciudad Juรกrez, Mexico. There, the plastic is melted down, and the proceeds are directed to a local nonprofit organization.
Those funds go directly toward supporting children battling cancer, helping cover the cost of treatments, medications, supplies, and chemotherapy.

This is what service above self looks like in action.
Local effort. Global impact. Real lives changed.

We are proud of these young leaders who are not just talking about making a difference, but doing the work to make it happen.

Native New Braunfelser Will Henry has spent nearly his entire life in the town where he was born and raised. With deep family roots in the community โ€” including ancestors who brought to life one of the cityโ€™s most iconic attractions, Schlitterbahn Waterpark โ€” Will carries forward a legacy of local pride and investment in the place he calls home.

๐Ÿ’ง World Water Day โ€“ March 22

Water is life. Yet millions of people around the world still wake up each day without reliable access to safe, clean water.

This World Water Day, we recognize the powerful impact of initiatives like Rotaryโ€™s global work in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) โ€” efforts that help communities thrive through sustainable solutions, education, and infrastructure. Rotary clubs and partners have helped build toilets, install handwashing stations, provide water filtration systems, and create reliable clean water sources for communities in need. (rotary.org)

Access to clean water transforms lives. When families no longer have to walk hours to collect water, children can attend school more regularly, health improves, and communities gain the opportunity to grow and prosper. (Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland)

World Water Day, observed each year on March 22, is a global reminder of the importance of freshwater and the need for sustainable management of this vital resource. (Wikipedia)

Today, we are called not just to be aware โ€” but to act.
Whether through service, advocacy, or support, each of us can help create a future where clean water is accessible to all.

Together, we can make a difference.

We are cheering on our Incoming Presidents Travis, Marcus, and Geoff who are attending Lone Star PETS this weekend.

Lone Star PETS (President-Elect Training Seminar) is an intensive leadership experience designed to prepare future Rotary club presidents for a strong and impactful year. Hosted in partnership with multiple districts of Rotary International, this training equips our leaders with the tools, vision, and confidence they need to guide our clubs forward.

Throughout the weekend, they will engage in inspiring keynote sessions, practical workshops, and meaningful conversations about leadership, membership growth, service impact, goal setting, and club culture. Just as importantly, they will build relationships with fellow presidents-elect from across the region.

Leadership in Rotary is not accidental. It is intentional, prepared, and service-driven.

We are proud of you for stepping up to lead. Your willingness to grow ensures our club continues to thrive and serve our community with excellence.

Drop a comment below to encourage our incoming presidents as they train to lead with vision and heart.
