🚨WE’RE IN THE HOME STRETCH AND WE NEED YOUR HELP ON SEPTEMBER 1ST!🚨 # # # # # # # #

We are officially in the home stretch.

The Republican Primary is Tuesday, September 1st, and one of the biggest challenges of running as a write-in candidate is simply making sure voters know they have another choice before they walk into the polling place.

That’s why I’m asking for volunteers who are willing to come out on Election Day and hold signs near polling locations throughout the 13th Bristol District.

For many voters, the sign they see on their way in may be the first time they learn that there is a write-in candidate running for State Representative. Every volunteer standing out there can make a difference.

And if you’ve wanted to support this campaign but you don’t live in New Bedford or you don’t live in the 13th Bristol District, this is one of the biggest ways you can help. You may not be able to write my name on your ballot, but you can help make sure the people who can vote know they have that option.

This has been a true grassroots effort. I’m not running because holding political office has been some lifelong ambition of mine. I’m running because I believe New Bedford deserves better representation, and I want to help the people of this city. I know trying to do things the right way will not always be easy, and this campaign has already required an enormous amount of time, energy, and personal resources. But I believe the effort is worth it.

If you can volunteer for even a few hours on September 1st, please reach out. Morning, afternoon, evening, or whatever time you can give us helps. We need people willing to hold signs and let voters know that there is another choice on the Republican ballot.

If you can’t volunteer but would still like to help, financial contributions are also greatly appreciated. Signs, literature, printing, and everything else involved in a grassroots campaign adds up quickly. Every contribution, regardless of the amount, helps us reach more voters.

# # # WHO CAN VOTE FOR ME?

I’m running for State Representative in New Bedford’s 13th Bristol District, which includes:

Ward 3: Precincts E & F
Ward 4: Precincts A & E
Ward 5: All precincts
Ward 6: All precincts

Registered Republicans and Unenrolled/Independent voters can vote in the Republican Primary.

# # # HOW TO WRITE ME IN

On the Republican ballot, write:

ELIJAH DESOUSA
CLINTON STREET, NEW BEDFORD

AND MAKE SURE TO FILL IN THE CIRCLE NEXT TO THE WRITE-IN!

This campaign was never supposed to be about one person. It’s about giving New Bedford another choice and reminding people that their representation belongs to them.

If you’ve been asking, “How can I help?” — this is the moment.

If you can hold a sign on September 1st, help financially, spread the word, or recruit someone else to volunteer, please reach out.

We have only a few days left.

Let’s finish strong.
