80 hours. That is how many hours it takes of classroom instruction, hands on skills and written tests to become MS Certified Vol Level 1 Firefighter in MS. We are so proud to announce that Firefighter Rebecca Scovack was one of 16 who accomplished this task! House Volunteer Fire Department was able to support her as she completed this training along with 4 members of Dixon Volunteer Fire Department and several others with Newton County Fire Departments. Congratulations you earned that patch and we are so proud of each of you! Neshoba County is now protected by 5 brand new certified Volunteer Firefighters 🚒!

Carol, Ashley, Lois, Morgan, Rebecca,Richelle. These are the names of the amazing women on our department who we are wishing a very Happy Mother’s Day. They give of themselves everyday to their families, to our fire department family and to the community. Join us in wishing these tough, strong, hardworking, and resilient ladies a wonderful, restful Mother’s Day Weekend. (Destiny you have not had a child of your own but you have always been there for all our FD kids and you have been the greatest aunt your neices they could ever have)

A sister fire department has asked that we share information about a wreck that took three lives and left two in critical condition. This is someone they know and the families are asking for assistance with funeral costs for these young people. Donations can be sent to Colonial Chapel in Collins MS
