Buchanan is different, it’s undeniable. ✨
We’re building a future that is setting precedents and has already become a model for what meaningful and high-impact revitalization can look like. 🏗️🌱
Residents are respected, informed, and involved in the neighborhood rising. 🫱🏾🫲🏻📣
Many with deep ties to this community have opportunities to come back — to invest, to open businesses, to live, and to see Buchanan thrive in ways few imagined possible. 🏪🏠💛
Last night’s Planning Commission meeting made one thing clear: people care deeply about this place. Hundreds showed up. ♥️
Many shared personal experiences, hopes, and concerns. Some expressed support for proposed changes as a way to address real issues. Others raised important questions about unintended consequences, transparency, and the pace of change.
All of those perspectives matter.
The Planning Commission deferred the CCO bills to March 12th 2026, creating space for deeper engagement, clearer information, and more inclusive dialogue. ⏳🗣️
This is not about sides. It’s about process, trust, and stewardship. 🧭
The Buchanan Arts District — alongside the Buchanan Area Neighborhoods Alliance and Community Partners— will continue doing what we exist to do: share accurate information, convene conversations, and help ensure that the people most connected and rooted to this place are meaningfully involved in shaping its future. 📚🔗
This work doesn’t end here.
We’re continuing — together.
