Brand storyteller living the science and voodoo of commerce/creative intersectionality. Creative visionary Lucas Leverett has been a frequent steward of household brand names in his native Nashville, prior to relocating to Grand Rapids, MI. He is a cultivator of successful creative and marketing teams – crafting and advancing brand experiences for over twenty years through collaborative, growth-fo

cused achievements. His background in both B2B and B2C markets encompasses design, technological and business proficiency, spanning the marketing, advertising and creative landscape. Lucas champions award-winning collaborations and project successes with nimble strategy, imagination, determination, intuition and limitless creativity. By force of will, he forwards ideas big and small toward bold goals – with an affinity for fruitfully audacious disruptions to the status quo. True to his Music City roots, Mr. Leverett lives a handful of lives: from his professional work to his spare time – conjuring up events filled with superheroes, spacemen and zombies. An outspoken “smash-mouth politico” when needed, Lucas maintains an open heart for common threads of community ideals and a preference for fraternity over tribalism when stubborn extremes will allow. Leverett takes pride in speaking truth to power with verbal dynamism, but is always eager to do the less flashy work of local committees and projects. Where the professional and political intersect, he takes pride a body of work for clients in local politics, from a lengthy history of Nashville-area clients and campaigns to a growing portfolio in Grand Rapids. Lucas Leverett is a capable and formidable operator in the public arena.

I can't abide a bully. And I've always understood that usually the only way to deal a bully is to bully them back. That's why this story about the Bricks & Minifigs North America scandal is so nice to see getting mainstream media attention and continuing to blow up. Glad to see NewsNation covering it.

They have managed to at least put up the token facade of severing their relationship with 2/3 of the people who've nearly destroyed their company and unfairly put strain on their franchisees nationwide. Brandon Best and Joshua Johnson are out. (They may have a second store that's sliding under the radar, so this might be just another smoke and mirrors play from their CEO, Ammon McNeff.)

They're continuing to smear the prior franchise owner, and attempt to make all of this her fault, never mind their corrupt use of the American Fork Police Department via church connections, and the array of other terribly irresponsible and unethical choices they all made along the way. But the damage is done. Most people likely want out of this franchise.

As a brand guy, I wonder if they're even allowed to slap the LEGO logo on their stores like they do. It'd probably be a good idea for the LEGO to weigh in and straighten these guys out, alongside the media, all of us discussing it in the open, the influencers and commentators, and the courts.

It's been a satisfying ecosystem of bullying the bullies so far. Keep it up.

I truly admired Anthony Head for his phenomenal talent across the board. It was an honor to mirror his performance as Repo/Nathan from Repo the Genetic Opera in our Testify! shadowcast in Nashville many years ago. It was possibly my favorite theatre experience and certainly my favorite role.

Thank you, Anthony, for giving us so much.

We are devastated to learn of the passing of Anthony Head, endeared to fans around the world for his role as Rupert Giles on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER the series. He also starred in REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, LET THE WRONG ONE IN, and his own five-part supernatural docuseries titled TRUE HORROR WITH ANTHONY HEAD, as well as many other films, plays, and productions. We send out deepest condolences to his friends, fans, and family.

For the first time, that expensive IMAX ticket will actually get you a whole cinema experience for the price. I’ve long been a detractor of the obsession gullible audiences have with IMAX when other premium presentations have been superior and often less gouged. (And don’t get me started on the assorted “LieMAX” screens all over the country.)

This history making film will finally deliver a full show for that full extra price. Not just a scene or two. This is, pardon the pun, huge.

Correspondent Scott Pelley and director Christopher Nolan visited FotoKem, the last motion picture lab in the world that makes 70mm prints, to see finishing touches being made to "The Odyssey," the first feature shot entirely on IMAX film.

CBS News, by way of the weasel now at the helm, is losing all journalistic integrity.

Bari has two things in common with her buddy Trump: she loves destroying everything she touches, and she loves portraying herself as a victim.

Bari Weiss built a career by attacking students, academics, journalists, and activists for anyone who called out her hatred and hypocrisy.

Every challenge to her arguments became censorship.

Every professional conflict is turned into proof of persecution.

Fast forward to CBS, and she's up to her old tricks.

Time remind everyone: the hateful, manipulative, Trump-like Bari Weiss is poisonous to everything she touches -- including CBS.

It is time for our leaders at The City of Grand Rapids to get serious about this problem. It is evident that Grand Rapids Police Department is abusing this tech and lying about it. There are plenty of ways to add assurances and independent audits to this whole situation to keep them and our City Manager honest.

Mark Washington and his GRPD cannot be trusted to level with us, and the bosses we hired to oversee all of them are falling down on the job. We should be able to call upon Mayor David LaGrand, AliciaMarie Belchak for City Commission, Marshall Kilgore, Kelsey Perdue, Lisa Knight, and even Melinda Ysasi to act decisively here, and we cannot, apparently.

With police departments across the country integrating license plate readers as part of law enforcement efforts, legal advocates are pushing for protections around how departments use the emerging technology. When we moved to GR, so many people in Nashville looked at photos and rightfully said "but where are the RAPIDS?!?" Now, we are on the path as a city to putting the namesake back to this beautiful river. Massive kudos to all those involved!

So, is she leaving Pity City or joining it? One has to wonder if that small public moment of toxic leadership sentiment was merely the tip of an unfortunate iceberg. Oh well. Moving on.

The head of Zeeland-based furniture maker MillerKnoll plans to leave the company end of the month.
