25 years ago today, our nation changed forever. The deadliest attacks in American history made us feel scared, vulnerable, and alone. But the American people showed strength, heart, and resiliency like never before. We came together, helped one another, and showed the world that nothing can keep America down.

We have cured diseases, broken technological barriers, and touched the stars thanks to the hard work and dedication of our workforce. Dolly Parton was a shining example of what Tennessee can and should be. Her impact on us is immeasurable. From providing books to children across the country to investing in her hometown, Dolly loved endlessly and gave generously. Please join me in praying for her family and for all she impacted. Dolly will live on forever in the hearts and minds of every Tennessean, and her example of the volunteer spirit will never be forgotten.
