Patriot Day asks us to pause and hold two things at once: grief for what was taken, and gratitude for those who ran toward danger that day and in the years since. We remember the first responders. We remember the passengers of Flight 93. We remember every service member who answered the call that followed.

Functional Zero.

It's the goal behind everything we do at Warrior Homes of Collier: every veteran who wants a home has one; no one sleeps in a car, in a tent, or in the woods.

We are closer to it than ever.

Since opening our first home in 2020, we have provided stable housing for 158 veterans and helped cut veteran homelessness in Collier County by 88%. This winter, The Zulu Project opens its doors, and with it, Collier County will reach functional zero in veteran homelessness.

They served our country. Now we serve them.

Reaching functional zero does not mean our work is done; it means we keep the door open for every veteran who needs assistance or is facing homelessness. Your gift today helps us get there and keeps us there.

RAPID RESPONSE: Meet Solli

Solli, 50, served our country in the Army in Human Resources and holds a degree in Business Administration. After three years in the same job, he lost his position, and with rent and utilities due, eviction loomed.

Through Warrior Homes' Rapid Response program, we used grant funding to cover Solli's rent and phone bill, giving him the breathing room to focus on what mattered most: finding work. That effort paid off. Solli landed a new job! He shared a photo with us from his first day in his new position.

We received a heartfelt thank you from Solli:
"With a heavy heart overflowing with gratitude, I would like to extend my deepest and most sincere thanks for the generous rental assistance you provided during this difficult time in my life."

Notes like this one are why Warrior Homes exists. They served our country; now we can serve them.

This Labor Day, we're honoring the hardest work there is: serving our country.

Long before a single paycheck, veterans clocked in for shifts most of us will never understand — deployments that swallowed holidays, sacrifices measured in years, not hours, missions where "overtime" meant risking everything. They worked so the rest of us could rest.

For too many of those same veterans, the work isn't over. They're still working — just to find stable ground. A paycheck that covers rent. A mind at peace. A place to call home. Their service didn't end when they took off the uniform, and our gratitude shouldn't either.

This Labor Day, let's make sure the veterans who worked hardest for all of us don't have to work alone to find a home. 💜

Zulu + Delta = An end to Veteran Homelessness in Collier! 🇺🇸

CASE PROFILE:
This veteran found himself homeless right here in Collier County — and had no idea help like this existed until his sister, a thousand miles away in Boston, pointed him to Warrior Homes of Collier.

Our team started the way we always do: by asking questions and listening first. Within days, he was off the streets and into a hotel room; safe, stable, and no longer alone. Now he's taking his next step: looking for part-time work.

This is what Rapid Response looks like — a veteran housed, a family reassured from afar, and one more warrior no longer left behind.

Together with our community partners, 95 cents of every dollar raised goes directly toward serving veterans in Collier County. 💙

On Monday, we welcomed 87-year-old Army veteran Richard home at Delta House.

Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963, stationed in Thailand, where he worked as an engineer helping build critical infrastructure.

Before coming to us, he was at risk of homelessness — now he has a safe, stable place to call home.

Richard doesn't have a car, so Warrior Homes Founder Dale Mullin reached out to our partners at Bikes For Tykes, who showed up today with a bicycle for him. Blue Star Mothers Gulf Coast FL-12 is providing a helmet and a lock to keep it safe. Together, our community is making sure Richard has what he needs to get around and stay independent.

Richard says he's tremendously grateful for all the help he's received, and we're grateful to him for his service and to partners like Bikes for Tykes and Blue Star Mothers for stepping up alongside us.

Warrior Homes of Collier is deeply grateful to the Moorings Park Communities and their Moorings Park Foundation for a $50,000 grant supporting our Senior Veteran residents.

This gift will help ensure that the veterans who once served our country can remain safely and stably housed as they age. It's the kind of support that makes a lasting difference in a senior veteran's life.

Community support like this is what makes it possible to keep showing up for the men and women who served. We're honored to have Moorings Park Foundation standing with us in this work.

Trusted with Every Dollar: Warrior Homes of Collier Passes First Outside Financial Audit

Warrior Homes of Collier is proud to share that we passed our first financial audit conducted by Stroemer & Company with flying colors! As our organization has grown, so has our accountability, as many foundation funders require an independent audit once a charity reaches a certain size, and we welcomed that added layer of scrutiny.

Special thanks to our Treasurer, Tom Buckley, for his work steering us through the process. The results confirm what our donors and partners already trust: 95 cents of every dollar raised goes directly toward serving veterans.
