Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a new congressional map into law on May 4, reworking 21 of Florida's 28 U.S. House districts, including Collier County's. A lawsuit filed the same day by the Equal Ground Education Fund seeks to block the new map from taking effect. Collier County voters may find themselves in a new congressional district when they go to the polls in August and November 2026.
