I have the best roofers! Not only do I have beautiful new cedar one coming along, but they built a safe ledge for a morning dove to lay eggs. Hope to have squabs in a few weeks…1st residents in almost 10 years.

Yesterday was a dirty day...vacuuming out ceiling bays to assess the construction and condition of the post & beam structure.

Now that we know what we are dealing with, we have a plan...the wart on the side (1940’s bathroom) was cabled and has been slowly pulling the house over. That will come off slowly and in the process, we hope to ease the joists back into their pockets...fingers crossed!

PS-this is the part that no one ever shows on the DIY shows.
