Mize volunteers as Chair of the Nacogdoches County Parks Board, Vice Chair of the Nacogdoches Appraisal District Board of Directors and Treasurer of Pineywoods Groundwater Conservation District. He is a Governor Greg Abbott appointee to the State of Texas Product Development and Small Business Incubator Board. Mize also served as Board Chair of the Deep East Texas Workforce Solutions, Board Chair of the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation (NEDCO), Board Chair of the Stephen F. Austin State University Foundation, President of the Nacogdoches Booster Club, President of Nacogdoches Rotary Club, Treasurer and Board Member for Glory Gang Ministries, and as a Board Member of the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce. Mize graduated from Nacogdoches High School, earned a degree in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University and completed Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Jimmy is married to Lisa Rudisill Mize and they have one son, Charles. He is an active member of New Hope Church.
