Another beautiful, super friendly cat just dumped at this rural business site. Semi-long haired 'creamsicle'. He ran immediately up to the caretaker and cries, tries to follow when she leaves. Heartbreaking. 😿

The property has been sold and many changes have been going on there over the summer. Fortunately, the people establishing the new business there have been allowing us to continue for now, they did remove the shelters and took out a lot of the old vehicles the caretaker used to feed around. We have TNRed - managed this site for the last three years.

I sadly have no where to go with him and I work with very limited resources. (Not a rescue or 5013c organization) I can't fit one more enclosure in my garage. I have three cats waiting to go home (recovering) in my storage room because my garage is full and Steely Blues is in my office. I need to find homes for the cats I have before my next clinic run or I will have no where to work. I find myself running into this situation far to often and quite frankly, I am becoming depressed. Okay, enough of that. "That" does nothing to help him BUT it gives folks an explanation why it can't be me to step up this time. This is all I can handle and still provide good care for the cats.

I will give my scanner to the person feeding the cats to see if by some chance he is chipped.
I am told he is ear-tipped so at least he has been fixed!

If there is anyone who can help, PLEASE let me know, even if it is just to hold him until I have a place to keep him. I will be happy to get him fully vetted, I can transport. I can provide an acclimation set up for a good barn home placement, if anyone is looking for a friendly & will provide proper care for him.
I wont secure him until I know I have a plan for him. Until then, he is being provided food and water.

Meet Little Bean! 😻

We need to find this adorable, obnoxiously friendly little guy (estimated 9 to 11 months old) a home asap. He was recently neutered, vaccinated & treated with NexGard. I was truly hoping to find his home without enclosing him, but his presence has upset the old WW cats too much. Only because he is a kitten, wanting to do kitten things.

Beans Story:
I TNR'ed him (and a little tux )that have been passing through daily and hanging in the cornfields out back. When I released them, Bean decided to take permeant residence here, and as much as he is sweet and lovable (not feral as I expected) he just upsets my gang to much, so I had to go ahead and lock him up. 😿

He is so friendly, does constant "hop-ups", will ignore food for pets etc.... He would be perfect for say a 4 to 6 year old to grow up with or for someone who would really appreciate a cat just dying to shower them with affection. He is hard not to fall in love with, immediately. He will follow you everywhere!

We have been BUSY! 😆
We needed to move Steely Blues into my office to open up an enclosure for a nine to eleven month old kitten, Little Bean, his story up next! 🐈😃

Steely went to The Vetting Zoo to see Dr. Devon for a full check up. He was brought UTD on vaccines, treated for an ear infection and micro chipped. (He was previously neutered through TNR as he is ear-tipped, which is another example of how an ear tip does not automatically mean the cat is an outdoor/community cat. He was defiantly an indoor pet.)
He did test positive for FIV. (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) So lets talk about that for a minute.
FIV usually spreads through deep, penetrating bite wounds from severe fights. The virus does not easily spread through casual everyday contact, sharing bowls or litter-boxes, cats playing or grooming each other etc.... I have had FIV positive cats cohabitating with negative cats for as long as I can remember, not once has a negative cat become FIV positive in my home! Many cats with FIV live long, normal, and healthy lives with little to no symptoms.

Steely Blues is happy to be inside and wants nothing to do with open doors. (We are not surprised because he was obviously terrified when I started seeing him on our cameras.) He is shy right now but warms up quickly, very loving, and boy oh boy, does he have the purr-motor!😻 We did learn he needs to be on urinary tract food, however, he does not require prescription food, he is doing great on the non prescription Royal Cannin. 🙂

After this past week, receiving this heartwarming update is just what we needed! A reminder that it is all worth it.

You can literally feel the love between these two! It shines bright on both adorable faces. 😻

May 2025 we trapped Tinker Bell with 5 other kittens and cats that were abandoned when someone moved out & put them all on the street. (If you been with us that long you may remember her as Gemini.)

After she was fully vetted we put her up for adoption and it has been so much fun getting periotic updates from Dezi , and getting to see these two girls grow up together. 💞 Talk about a match made in heaven.

🐾 A few updates –
Sorry it's taken me awhile and I appreciate all that have been checking in on us.

Last week was a hard one. 😞 During the recent storms, (some already know) our garage (which is where we hold cats for TNR and house any rescues in our care) flooded. Not one night but again the following night, despite extra efforts to prevent it. This garage is also shelter for the WW colony. Its a big attached garage with windows and is climate controlled, it is set up great for the cats!
We did post a video while it was happening during the first night. I received a few text from some wanting to know where the video went - I chose to keep it archived due to two ⌨ “Keyboard Critics” something I didn't expect or need. 😿 I did not have time, energy or the will to deal with that heartless nonsense while struggling to keep cats dry and calm!

😊Good News!: We are all dried out and cleaned up. All cats remained safe and dry and we are incredibly grateful it was not worse, as so may others faced far worse situations.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to those who offered support and help.

😻Steely Blues (the Siamese) will be going to the Vetting Zoo tomorrow to get his vaccines, tested, chipped and get a full examination. He is an incredible boy and deserves nothing but love.

🐈There are two kittens (7 to 9 months old) that I TNRed when I spotted them passing through daily. They wound up being very friendly and not feral as I expected. They are hanging around all the time now, one meowing from the cornfield out back. One took up residence in a cat house & is obnoxiously friendly. We NEED to find homes or placement for them ASAP. No, we cannot take on any more cats to live here!

🐱We were able to save our undistributed cat food donations before water got to them. We currently have four 16 lb bags and two cases of wet cat food left in our caretaker pantry. Contact us if you need cat food.

😀We still have 3 fleece blankets, three cat beds and cat toys for anyone who recently adopted from any local rescue or took in an abandoned cat (s).

Sometimes you do not get your intended cat but you get the cat that needed to be helped.
This was not the "mom" cat we were hoping for, in fact, he was a cat that was never seen by the caretaker (in person or on camera) at the feeding area, but he was hungry (and injured) and found his way into a trap and his future will be better for it!

Special thanks going out to Diane Ford and Rosemary Loncar (of Steelton Community Cats)! Rosemary was willing to accept an additional cat so we could keep trying to prevent kittens at a business location, between scheduled runs.
Dr. D added "Spicy Cat Taxi Service" to her agenda for the day & because of it a cat in need got much needed medical care!

Steely 💙 wants to let you know he's looking for somebody super special to adopt him!

We will make sure he is up to date on vacs, has an examination and gets chipped.

He's already neutered, he is affectionate, chatty and sweet. ♥️
