We had a great time at the Cheesecake Festival at Lane Agri-Park yesterday! It was wonderful to see our community come together, enjoy great food, and support our local vendors. We met Linda and Ronald with Kingdom Essentials. Their fragrances were so good that we had to purchase a few items. I couldn’t walk away from Ms. Tan Tan’s table. Her red velvet cake is definitely worth it. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible. The cheesecakes were also amazing, and it was great seeing so many familiar faces!

Thank you to the OSL Graduate Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha for hosting tonight’s Hors d’oeuvres Candidate Meet & Greet at The GOAT.

It was a great opportunity to connect with residents and other candidates, answer questions, and have meaningful conversations about the issues that matter most to our community. I always appreciate any chance to listen, learn, and hear different perspectives from the people of Rutherford County especially from District 19.

Thank you to everyone who came out and took the time to engage in the process. An informed and involved community makes us all stronger.

Last Saturday morning was a good one. We had breakfast at Joanie’s before I had a meeting. Afterwards we stopped by the farmers market to support our local community. It was a pleasure talking with Ms. Teri with Triple A Farms. They are located just a couple a miles away from District 19 out in Rockvale. Then we wrapped up the morning by delivering more signs to more families. We are ONE Rutherford. I see it everyday.

I’m grateful for our first responders and the sacrifices they make every day. I always try to thank our deputies whenever I see them. It’s an honor to serve as vice chair of the Public Safety Committee, and I’ll continue supporting the men and women who work to keep our community safe. Rutherford County Sheriff's Office

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who gave everything so we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

As we spend time with family and friends today, let us never forget the true meaning of this day and the heroes who made it possible. Please continue to pray for the families of our fallen service members and for all who have served our nation with honor.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13 🇺🇸

May we always honor their legacy through gratitude, faith, and service to others.

Yes, we make yard sign deliveries at night. When the people of District 19 ask, we oblige. The request of signs has been phenomenal. Keep sending those messages and we’ll take care of you. We are ONE Rutherford!

I spent the day celebrating Lao New Year with Leeann and we had such a wonderful time. So thankful for the culture, traditions, amazing food, and the kindness shown by everyone there. Thank you to fellow County Commissioner Chantho Sourhino for the invitation over the last three years. Each year gets better and better. It was a pleasure to stand on stage and greet all attendees on behalf of Rutherford County.

As a County Commissioner, it’s always important to support and celebrate the many cultures that make our community special. Grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a joyful celebration. Happy Lao New Year! 🇱🇦 🇺🇸

NEW MURFREESBORO POLICE PRECINCT: Murfreesboro is moving forward with plans for the city’s first police precinct.

City leaders said it’s needed to keep up with growth. The current police headquarters sits off Highland Avenue on the east side of town.

But the new precinct would sit on the west side along Veterans Parkway, allowing for more police officers to serve the Blackman community.

“It’s just a very popular growing area, and that Veterans Parkway corridor has really helped,” Murfreesboro councilman Austin Maxwell said.

During the council’s annual review of capital investment projects, discussions on a new west-side precinct began last October. The city council voted Thursday (5/21) on an architecture firm that will begin developing plans for the new precinct. https://tinyurl.com/557kwjt5

Congratulations to The Journey Home, Murfreesboro on your 20th year anniversary. You have served the homeless and disadvantaged for two decades here in Rutherford County. It takes a village to ensure that all of our citizens are taken care of. Your new community resource center is a place where people can feel hope, be safe and not feel left behind.
