The Juneteenth Celebration over the weekend presented by Cultural Arts Murfreesboro was a great event. It was a day of community, culture, and celebration at the Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center. Many citizens enjoyed the vibrant lineup of food, art, live music, dancing, and free activities for all ages. We have such a diverse population here in Rutherford County. We are ONE Rutherford!

Yesterday I completed the inaugural Water Leadership Academy with the Consolidated Utility District of Rutherford County, TN. It was a five-session experience that allowed me to explore the vital present and future role water plays in the continued growth here in Rutherford County. As a current county commissioner, the program provided me with behind-the-scenes look at how CUD plans, manages, and maintains the infrastructure that supports our thriving economy and quality of life. Through engaging sessions and an exclusive site visit, we also explored key topics such as water treatment, system operations, and long-term planning. Thank you to Joel and Roger for your leadership and for the opportunity to participate in an important program.

Whenever I am out in the community and hear the phrase "there's district 19", I immediately recognize it as a reference from my Grady. I greatly appreciate his friendship and support over the years. It was a pleasure to see him advocating for local businesses as I entered the courthouse. He embodies the true spirit of community support.
