Commerce

Downtown Muncy Incorporated ’s (DMI) primary role is to support, seek out, and assist new and existing businesses in the Greater Muncy area with a concentration in the Muncy Borough. Downtown Muncy’s economic vitality is crucial to the revitalization of our town. It is DMI’s responsibility to identify market trends and the needs of our growing community and to create opportunities, recruit new business, and foster a positive economic environment and community for all. Attract new small businesses to grow a downtown area that attracts visitors and provides stores for our community to shop local. Create Co-working & Community Space for current and aspiring entrepreneurs in Muncy. Work with larger existing businesses and organizations in Greater Muncy to focus on creating and maintaining jobs for those living in Muncy or those who would like to live in Muncy. Create a resource of volunteers to help existing and new businesses thrive in Muncy
Revitalize historical architecture and improve our streetscapes to beautify Downtown Muncy. Incorporate a walkable/bikeable town that connects the community to their downtown businesses and outdoor recreation

Partnerships

Downtown Muncy will work with established business owners, volunteers, progressive political leadership, historical preservationists, local government and responsible property owners. Architecture & Historic Preservation

Muncy’s historical architecture and quintessential small town atmosphere is an asset to our community and needs to be revitalized and maintained with care and passion. DMI will work with preservation groups, the Muncy Borough government, and code officials to help encourage and maintain the town’s infrastructure. Work with stronger codes to ensure our community is visibly compliant to the vision of a beautiful historic town. We will offer real support in maintaining a historically preserved community while promoting its adaptive reuse potential for new businesses. Nature and Heritage Tourism

Muncy’s proximity to the Susquehanna River, adequate green space allows for great opportunities for more outdoor recreation for our residents as well as visitors. PA Wilds, an organization that DMI will be actively involved in, promotes outdoor recreation in PA which provides resources for our community and visitors to explore and enjoy the beautiful Appalachian area that we are fortunate to call home.

Beyond the wardrobe, past the second star to the right, and somewhere between the Shire and the Seven Kingdoms, a new adventure is taking shape in Muncy.

On Saturday, October 17, Today Farm will become a gathering place for witches, fae, wanderers, knights, and every brave soul still waiting for their next great quest. No owl-delivered invitation required.

As daylight fades and the moon rises:

Fire will come alive during a mesmerizing fire-dancing performance.

Armored knights will clash in thrilling live combat worthy of legend.

A skilled glassblower will transform glowing, molten glass into art before your eyes.

Wander through a magical marketplace filled with curated artisans, unusual treasures, delicious food, drinks, and experiences for the entire family.

And just when you think you have discovered every secret passage, remember—we still have a few pages left to reveal. More entertainment, unexpected encounters, and magical surprises will be announced soon.

✨ “By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes…” ✨

As Autumn settles over Muncy, whispers of an extraordinary gathering have begun to travel across every realm. Ravens have carried the news beyond the Seven Kingdoms, owls have delivered their invitations, and riders returning from the skies swear that dragons have been spotted over Today Farm.

On Saturday, October 17, a hidden road will open beneath the autumn sky. Not all those who wander are lost; some are simply following the lanterns toward a place where Witcher medallions hum, the clock strikes thirteen, the Crystal calls, and the æther stirs at the edge of the dreamscape. Scion may call such a gathering unnatural, and LEPRecon would almost certainly classify it, but here in Muncy, we simply call it Moonlight Market.

Beyond its gates, guilds will mingle with noble houses, faerie courts, witchy covens, and Viking clans. Witches and wizards may walk beside High Ladies, dragon riders, witchers, dreamwalkers, Gelflings, bards, goblins, fae, and curious Mud People as travelers from every world come together beneath the moonlight.

Follow the winding path through a realm filled with talented artisans, mysterious characters, captivating entertainment, delicious food and drinks, and handcrafted treasures worthy of any adventurer’s collection. Toss a coin to a local artisan, collect some epic loot, feast like royalty, and keep watch for the unexpected wonders hiding around each turn. After all, for one enchanted day, this is Muncy—and we have dragons.

As daylight fades, the Court of Moonlight will awaken beneath the stars that listen. A little practical magic will settle over the evening, with rosemary for remembrance, lavender for luck, and just enough hocus pocus to let the night run amuck. The song will rise, the mask will fall, and an entirely new Age of Wonder will begin in a world where nothing is quite what it seems.

You will not need an acceptance letter, a magical signet, a silver sword, a hearthstone, fairy gold, or even a trained dragon to enter. All that is required is a little imagination, a sense of adventure, and perhaps a few brave companions to accompany you.

Your invitation has arrived, your quest has begun, and the road goes ever on—yet on this night, every path leads to Today Farm.
