Looking forward to seeing you in this great tournament at Skagit Valley College on July 20th and 21st!!
As most of you know, the proceeds from this event honor the late Nick Whiton and go to a scholarship fund set up in his name. A $2,500 scholarship is presented each Spring to 2 graduating college bound seniors, a boy and a girl from Burlington-Edison High school who played tennis, got good grades, and displayed skill and sportsmanship during their career.
We also fund a $1,000 scholarship each year for a Skagit Valley College tennis player.
Beginning this year, a portion of the proceeds go to Skagit Valley Tennis Association to support their programs and mission to grow the game of tennis!
· We have Doubles and Mixed Doubles for adults. Recent high school graduates can play in the adult divisions.
· We will work hard to accommodate your schedule!
· There will be music, gifts, lots of food, a few freebies and auction items!
· New this year are gift cards for the winners!
So, it is a great cause and a lot of fun!
