What you don’t see...

In this photo you might see a firefighter masking up to prepare to fight a fire, what you don’t see is the wedding band on his finger.

You don’t the family running up, crying, to see their home destroyed.

You don’t see law enforcement helping carry oxygen bottles, hoses, consoling family

You don’t see hundreds of feet of hose supplying thousands of gallons of water to extinguish the flames.

You don’t see how much this ways on so many first responders and their families.

Many people don’t understand what bravery and sacrifice goes into being a first responder and what faith goes into being related to one. Thank you to all of you for being so strong and faithful!

Brooks County and East Brooks Fire Departments are on scene at a structure fire on Augusta Rd. Fire is contained and all occupants and pets made it out safely. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. Augusta Rd is currently shut down near the scene. The mobile home is a total loss.

Station 5 has a new sign up, all Brooks County Fire Department station are getting matching signs installed in the coming week.

Sad news to announce this morning. Greg Parker lost his battle with cancer this morning and went home to be with the Lord. As of right now his wife Leslie is planning a celebration of Greg's life for October 12th. As we get more details we will continue to update everyone. Keep his wife and family in your prayers.
