This evening we conducted a live burn for our monthly training. We showed our members the different phases of a fire beginning in a house and just how quick it takes over until fully engulfed. We went over a various of different scenarios. We would like to thank everyone for their participation and hard work on another successful training to better serve our community!

To all citizens in our primary area North Hamblen will be conducting a live burn in the 2700 block of Harbin Circle in the next few minutes and will continue for the next couple hours! so do not be alarmed if you are in that general area! Also Hamblen County 911 is aware of the live burn as well as Hamblen County Sheriff’s Department.

We would like to introduce Squad 51 to our fleet of vehicles to help serve our community. Thank you to all the community members , several neighboring depts and out of state depts for making it all possible! We currently have 7 members trained in extracation with more to come. It is equipped with a 60 gallon compressed air foam system that makes 1200 gallons of foam. Hydrauluc Cutter, spreader , ram. Rescue jacks,rescue struts,chains,straps,winch, cribbing, built in deisel generator that runs off truck fuel tank and more. Thank you again to all that helped make this possible to help protect our community in their time of need.

We would like to remind everyone in our community that the “NON EMERGENCY”numbers for Hamblen County 911 Dispatch has changed and gone into effect as of today! So for all “Non Emergency” issues you need to use these contact numbers. Remember in the event of an “EMERGENCY” always call 911!
