The City of Morris, IL and Morris Restaurant & Retail Association are excited to partner for the 1st annual Holly Jolly Sip & Stroll - a warm beverage walk on Small Business Saturday, November 29th during Home for the Holidays 2025.

Here's how it works:
☕Limited edition collector's mugs go on sale soon at Apple Butter and Shugie's, Cat and Hound Market, Clayton's Tap, Gigi's, Just Kidding Around, Keg Grove Brewing Company - Morris, Oleanders Boutique, and VERBENAshoppe.
🛍 On 11/29, these and other shops, pubs, and restaurants will offer free holiday drink samples during their business hours.
❄️From a peppermint mimosa to a cranberry apple cider, these warm winter bevvies exude holiday cheer. Many samples will be curated for shoppers 21+.
👩‍🎓The $20 purchase price will fund scholarships for Morris high school students excelling in service. Last year's recipients shared these notes of gratitude.

We're bringing this and other activities to Home for the Holidays 2025 in place of a House Walk. That tradition that will go on hiatus due to a shortage of homeowners to make the commitment and dwindling ticket sales. So we're returning to the purpose for which Home for the Holidays was created in 1993- to rediscover the offerings and charm of our beloved Downtown during a busy shopping weekend. Christmas in the County Seat! Start the season of good cheer off right with an old-fashioned holiday feeling in downtown Morris. The nostalgic downtown streetlights take on a festive glow with wreaths and lights adorning the lampposts. The celebration features the Lighted Holiday Parade, the Lighting of Chapin Park, carriage rides, Santa, Lantern Making, Breakfast with Santa, the Children’s Winter Carnival, Santa and his Reindeer, Christmas Cash Cab, the Festival of Trees, and much more! One of the highlights of the weekend is the Christmas House Walk and Tea featuring local homes that you will not want to miss. Each home is decorated in festive holiday fare and many feature some of the downtown merchant’s best offerings for the season.
