This week’s member shout out goes to Gutenmorgan_ ! Morgan has been apart of ACC since February and is now the VP of our branch and an ambassador for the front range.
He’s our logistics man making sure everything runs smoothly.

Member shoutout Philip Kwasinski II! Philip joined the Denver ACC branch about 9 months ago and dove in head first.
He started out taking over the Denver branch as President.
Then quickly stepped into an ambassador role to help with recruiting new members . And now he’s the hub leader for the Denver metro area.
Among the many hats he’s worn in the short few months , he’s shown up and is an active volunteer. From flying to DC for the ACC Fly in to digging up holes and planting trees, phil is always getting in the dirt (pun intended.

🥾 Saturday Hike: Lookout Mountain! 🌲⛰️

Come spend Saturday morning with us hiking Lookout Mountain Trail via Windy Saddle Trailhead in Golden!

📅 Saturday, August 29
📍 Meet: Windy Saddle Trailhead parking lot
⏰ Meet at 9:00 AM — we’ll hit the trail around 9:15 AM

The route is about 3 miles round trip, rated moderate, with roughly 520 ft of elevation gain. Expect some great views overlooking Golden, Denver, and the surrounding foothills! (AllTrails.com⁠)

☀️ Weather: Right now, Saturday is looking partly sunny and warm, with temperatures eventually reaching the upper 80s in Golden. Mountain weather can change quickly, so check back as we get closer!

👕 What to wear/bring:
• Comfortable hiking shoes or trail runners
• Lightweight, breathable clothes
• A light layer for the morning
• Sunscreen + sunglasses/hat
• Plenty of water — it’s going to warm up quickly
• Optional small rain layer just in case Colorado decides to Colorado 🌦️

🍻 POST-HIKE FOOD + DRINKS!
Once we make it back down, we’ll head somewhere nearby in Golden for food and drinks and hang out for a bit. No need to hike and immediately disappear!

Come for the views, stay for the post-hike drinks. 🌲🍻
