Join ACC Denver for our May volunteer event at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge!

On Saturday, May 16th, we’ll be taking direct action to help restore critical wildlife habitat during First Creek Community Volunteer Day.

🕘 Meet at the Visitor Center at 9:00 AM
🚗 We’ll head to the project site together
🌿 No experience needed
🍽️ Lunch is on us after the event!

Come spend the morning making a real impact, meeting fellow ACC members, and enjoying one of Colorado’s best wildlife spaces.

Adventures of Ricky the Reactor: Roosevelt National Forest
Ricky rolled into the rugged beauty of Roosevelt National Forest — lands shaped by America’s great conservation president. 🌲🏔️
Named in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt, one of America’s greatest conservationists who protected over 230 million acres nationwide, this forest (part of the combined Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests) covers vast acres of north-central Colorado and surrounds Rocky Mountain National Park with stunning peaks, the Cache la Poudre River, and incredible biodiversity.
Visionary leadership preserved these wild places for all Americans. Nuclear energy delivers the same forward-thinking reliability — steady, carbon-free power that supports recreation, wildlife habitat, and responsible land management for generations to come.

And this concludes Denver ACC’s earth week! We headed out to Rocky Mountain Wildlife Refuge to remove invasive plants. Clearing out these plants allows native to grow and helps the wildlife on the refuge. 🌱🌎

No experience needed, just show up ready to get your hands a little dirty and make a real impact.
