⏳ Just 9 more months until my Election Day!

As I anxiously wait (and patiently plan), I’m getting excited to begin this journey—knocking on doors, shaking hands, and sharing my vision with the great people of District 2. I’m ready to listen, learn, and earn your support one conversation at a time.

📣 First round of campaign signs came in today!

I’m planning sign distribution for late August / early September due to state and county mowing crews and to help preserve the signs from unnecessary weathering. Between now and August, I’ll be ordering signs monthly and putting them into storage so they’re ready to go—this also helps avoid a big last-minute expense.

The work is already underway, and I couldn’t be more motivated. Let’s get to work, District 2. 💪🇺🇸

Public Safety Plea 🚨

Please stay off the roadways. All roads across the area are covered in solid ice, and most hills are completely impassable. Conditions are extremely dangerous for drivers and for the crews working to clear and respond.

For your safety and the safety of others, do not travel unless it is an absolute emergency. Staying off the roads helps prevent accidents and allows emergency and road crews to do their jobs more effectively.

Please stay home, stay safe, and avoid all unnecessary travel.

Hello everyone! I’m Calvin “Jackson” Kennett III, and I wanted to take a moment to clear up any confusion and share an update about my campaign.

I am running as an Independent (Nonpartisan) candidate for Wayne County Constable, District 2. Because of this, my name will NOT appear on the spring primary ballot. As an independent candidate, I advance directly to the November 2026 General Election. Whoever wins the Republican primary in May will be my opponent in the fall.

I knew from the start that running as a nonpartisan candidate would be a challenge, being on a ballot where you have to physically go down through the ballot and fill in the box beside my name, if your a straight ticket voter in the fall and wish to vote for me be sure to find my name and fill in the box beside my name otherwise it wont count.

During the spring election season, my main focus will be:
✔️ Meeting and listening to the great voters of District 2 in general public
✔️ Preparing and ordering campaign materials
✔️ Growing this page so more people can hear my vision

My goal is to have campaign materials ordered and ready to distribute by June and be fully prepared to launch a strong, organized fall campaign. When the time comes to unfold my vision for Constable, I want to make sure it reaches as many people as possible.

I know this won’t be easy—but I’m ready to run a good, clean, community-focused race, and I look forward to talking with each and every voter in District 2.

Today is January 9th — National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

I just wanted to take a quick minute to wish all of our law enforcement officers — from our local agencies to our federal agencies — a very happy Law Enforcement Day.

Here in Wayne County, we are blessed to have community members who serve with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Police Department, Constables, Kentucky State Police, Kentucky State Park Rangers, and Kentucky Fish & Wildlife, and many more.

From the officers working the streets, to the School Resource Officers who keep our hallways and school grounds safe, to those in command, investigative, and administrative roles — whether you’re on the road or behind the scenes — our community would not be safe without you.

Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and dedication.
