I want to start by thanking everyone for their support since I took office last year and to all that came out and voted. We have worked hard and will continue working hard for the residents of Thompson. I am proud to have the support from the Town of Thompson Democratic Committee and the Sullivan County Conservative Party. They endorsed me on my qualifications and experience, knowing the Town of Thompson Highway Department would be in good hands for years to come.

I would also like to thank the entire Town of Thompson Board for their trust in me to fufill the position over the last year. Lastly, when Richard Benjamin Jr. retired, he left the town in the best condition it has ever been. My goal for the Town of Thompson is to keep the quality of roads and level of maintenance the top standard for the area.

The election may be over but the work will never end. Please stay up to date on all the work we will be doing at the Thompson Highway Department page.

This training was coordinated a year ago. It takes teamwork, planning and communication to make things happen. I will always provide support for our local fire departments and i’m glad to help host this training at our Highway Department facility.

This year, I have identified miles of failing stormwater pipes in Emerald Green and other areas of the town. I then created a plan to replace them over the next few years. My comprehensive planning and budgeting for infrastructure upgrades will keep Thompson financially responsible for years to come while improving the quality of services and assets for its residents.

What makes me stand out the most? Since I took over as Highway Superintendent, I’ve inspected the hundreds of large culverts and drainage structure in the town. I then rated the condition of each and made a comprehensive list of infrastructure upgrades that will be completed over the next 10 years.

My background and experience when applied to the job is saving the Town of Thompson Taxpayers money everyday.

Once again, my level of commitment to this town goes above and beyond the role of a Highway Superintendent.

Since stepping into the role of Highway Superintendent in 2024, I made the decision to punch the clock alongside our team, even though I’m not required to and have no set hours with a fixed salary. I did this because I wanted to truly understand the demands of the job.

Since then, I’ve consistently worked well over 40 hours a week, with some weeks pushing close to 80 hours. In fact, I’ve taken fewer days off than a new hire gets in their first year. This level of commitment isn’t just about putting in hours, it’s about showing up, doing the work, and serving this Town with the passion and professionalism it deserves.

I’m proud of the work we’ve done, and I remain dedicated to this community in every way I can.
