A public hearing on the proposed Rule Amendment to 790-X-3-.03 - Deposit of Funds will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Commission meeting. Comments may also be presented in writing. The deadline for written comments is Monday, July 13, 2026.

Gov. Kay Ivey signed Act 2026-513 (HB55) on June 9, 2026. Alabama Real Estate Commission Executive Director, Dr. Vaughn T. Poe, joined legislators and industry stakeholders to celebrate the passage of this significant consumer protection measure, which requires financial institutions to allow mortgagors to make additional mortgage payments without penalty.
