Today, I can finally say... I DID IT! 🎓❤️
I am officially a graduate with my Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration – Accounting!
This journey began in August 2023, and while I expected it to be straightforward, God had a different timeline for me.
In the summer of 2024, I took a break from school to undergo an extended tummy tuck. While I was still recovering, on June 27, 2024, my daughter and I experienced one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives. A driver traveling on the wrong side of a parking lot struck us, causing severe injuries to my daughter's right foot. We spent weeks at Children's of Alabama Hospital and returned a month later for another week of treatment. Watching my child endure that pain while trying to recover myself was something I never imagined.
As difficult as that season was, I picked up the pieces and returned to school in the fall of 2024 while we were both still healing.
My goal was to finish my degree in the fall of 2025, but just weeks before classes began, I started experiencing health issues that required another surgery. I had no choice but to withdraw from all of my classes. I was disappointed, but I refused to give up.
Then I planned to finish in the spring of 2026 and finally walk across the stage. Unfortunately, a couple of the classes I needed weren't offered that semester. I was devastated because I had been looking forward to commencement.
Instead of quitting, I kept going.
This summer, I pushed myself harder than ever, taking three courses at once. Statistics challenged me more than any class in my degree program. There were moments when I honestly questioned whether I would make it through. But by the grace of God, I did—and I passed Statistics with a B+ (88.54%)!
Today, I can proudly say that I have officially completed my degree.
And this is only the beginning.
I have already enrolled at a university to pursue my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

If my journey teaches anything, it's this:
It's never too late. Delay is not denial.
God's timing is always perfect. His Word says that our latter days will be greater than our former days, and His Word never returns void. Through every setback, every surgery, every disappointment, every tear, and every obstacle, God remained faithful. Even when I strayed and my life didn't line up with His will, He never turned His back on me.
I owe Him everything because without Him, I am nothing. Time and time again, He has proven Himself faithful.
I know I'm not perfect, but I have committed my life to the Lord. So if you notice me walking differently or talking differently, just know it's because of the work God has done in me.
To everyone chasing a dream: don't give up. Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep pushing. Your breakthrough may take longer than you expected, but it is still coming.
To God be all the glory. 🙌🏽❤️🎓
