The Town of Montgomery Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the Town of Newburgh Police Department on the loss of one of their detectives. Our thoughts and prayers are with their department, the detective’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. 🖤💙🖤

The Town of Montgomery Police Department had a great time participating in National Night Out in both the Village of Montgomery and the Village of Walden!

It was great getting out into the community, meeting so many people, talking with families, and seeing everyone enjoy the evening. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello—we always appreciate the opportunity to connect with the people we serve.

We hope everyone had a fun and safe National Night Out, and we can’t wait to see you again next year!

Funeral arrangements for retired Police Officer Billy Treco are as follows:

The wake will be on Sunday, August 2, 2026 (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM) at the Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home in Monroe.

The funeral will be on Monday, August 3, 2026 (11:00 AM) at Sacred Heart Church in Monroe.

Any law enforcement, fire, EMS, or other public safety agencies wishing to send a vehicle to participate in the funeral procession are asked to please contact the Town of Montgomery Police Department for coordination.
