What an eventful and exciting week at DFM&CS!
This week, we conducted our first mobile Defense Decision Support Course (DDSC) in seven years, graduating 40 students prepared to return to their organizations with enhanced decision support capabilities. A huge thank you to DFAS for hosting three DFM&CS faculty members in Indianapolis as they learned more about how to provide decision support that enables decision advantage.
Back at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, the DFMC faculty graduated the first in-residence DFMC class since moving into our new facility. Over the past 14 academic days, 39 students worked to bridge strategy and financial support for senior decision-makers and will now return to their organizations ready to apply what theyโve learned.
We were also honored to host two international partners from Saudi Arabia and Jordan, whose participation added valuable perspectives and strengthened international engagement within the course.
While faculty and staff were focused on delivering exceptional education, the DFM&CS leadership team had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Scott Bauer, Executive Director, Business Operations, OUSW Comptroller. It was an honor to host him, hear his insights, and provide an opportunity for him to speak directly with our DFMC students. We also appreciated the opportunity to showcase the outstanding work taking place across DFM&CS and the impact our faculty, staff, and students continue to make across the FM community.
As we close out an incredible week, nominations for DFMC 26D (13โ30 Jul) are open and due 29 May! Donโt miss the opportunity to invest in the next generation of strategic financial leaders.
