We had a great time connecting with landowners, partners, and community members at our recent AL Black Belt Prairie Initiative (BBPI) Outreach Event in Linden!

Attendees learned about the rich history of the Black Belt prairies, conservation practices available, and how BBPI supports biodiversity, improves soil health, and provides economic benefits through cost-share opportunities.

Thank you to all who joined us for these meaningful conversations while we continue to work together to restore and protect Alabama's native prairies!

Thank you Wes Allen, Alabama Secretary of State, for taking the time to meet with us during Alabama Soil and Water Matters Day!

Fun fact: Secretary Allen once served as a District Supervisor for Pike County SWCD.
