Good day, friends and neighbors,
As many of you are aware, Overton County has experienced two tragic structure fires in the past week, both resulting in heartbreaking loss of life. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers—and also remember the firefighters and responders who answered the call. Incidents like these stay with us for a long time.
Now is the time to make sure your home is protected. Working smoke alarms save lives, and we want to help ensure every home in our community is prepared. Our department has partnered with the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Get Alarmed Tennessee program for several years, allowing us to provide and install smoke detectors free of charge.
If you live within our district or nearby and would like smoke alarms installed in your home, please contact:

Let’s work together to prevent another tragedy and keep our community safe.
