“To even consider replacing the term ‘father’ with ‘non-gestating parent’ diminishes the role that so many fathers play in their children’s lives,” said the letter, signed by state Sens. Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick (R-Nassau County), Bill Weber (R-Rockland County) and Alexis Weik (R-Suffolk County).

Paternity proceedings would now be called “parentage” proceedings, mothers would be “gestating parents” and fathers would be “non-gestating parents” in Family Court Law under the bill, which Hochul…

Hey Joe Rand is your campaign going so poorly that you need to try and take credit for things you have nothing to do with? Stop lying to Rockland residents.

The truth is, I fought for and won this funding, and crossed party lines to do so. The record proves it. It’s why I’m regarded as one of the most independent senators in Albany.

I work with people both parties and get common sense things done. Something you know nothing about. Do better, Joe.

Last night, I was honored to host my annual Veterans Appreciation Reception at the Nyack Seaport and recognize the brave men and women who have served our nation. Korean War veteran Reverend Warren Brandt delivered the invocation and Ava Aston sang the national anthem. We presented the 2026 Veteran of the Year Award to Susan Branam for her trailblazing military service and continued advocacy for veterans. We also recognized 99-year-old World War II veteran Marty Hyman! With the Tappan Zee Bridge illuminated red, white, and blue in their honor, it was a memorable evening celebrating those who have served our country. 🇺🇸

After hearing concerns from local business owners about traffic issues related to the Route 59 bridge replacement project, Senator Weber immediately brought together the New York State Department of Transportation, the Spring Valley Police Department, the Rockland County Highway Department, and County Executive Ed Day’s office for an on-site meeting.

The group witnessed firsthand how unclear signage was causing motorists to cut through a local business’s parking lot. As a result of the meeting, the DOT agreed to implement immediate changes, including the addition of a flag person, revised signage, and traffic pattern adjustments beginning today.

Senator Weber will continue to deliver real results to improve Rockland County both here and in Albany.
