Teen Volunteer Informational Meeting

Interested in volunteering at Montebello Library? Come meet the Volunteer Coordinator and get an overview of what it means to be an LA County Library Volunteer.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Be age 14 or older
• Commit to volunteering a minimum of 20 hours total
• Must be available for one Saturday a month

Note: Any volunteer who recently submitted an application and spoke to the Volunteer Coordinator must attend a Volunteer Information Meeting before they can begin their volunteer hours.

Join us to learn about Raising Confident Capable Children and explore strategies to take home and try with your family. This seminar will be led by an accredited Triple P Positive Parenting Program librarian. For parents and caregivers of 3 - 12.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

Program and materials provided in collaboration with DMH and MHSA.

African American and Black History Month: Tactile Artist Kara Walker

Celebrate Black History Month with us by exploring the work of African American artist Kara Walker and designing an art piece that highlights her distinctive silhouette style. For teens ages 12 - 18.

This program is funded by the County of Los Angeles Probation Department through the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA). JJCPA/Probation requires the collection of data on program participants including full name, date of birth, ethnicity, gender, zip code, and signature. Guardian consent is also required to participate.
