Ralph Elsey is the principled candidate who will stick to his guns and ensure that District 102 has the conservative Republican representation it needs and deserves. When the founding fathers envisioned legislative service to our country, they did not imagine an elite political class, or the privileged wealthy making decisions for the average citizen. A person who would vote in the best interest o
f their neighbors and, at some point, return home to their families, their work and their community service. Ralph Elsey embraces this vision and looks forward to serving District 102 with these principles in mind. Born to a skilled working class family in Columbia, Ralph Elsey graduated from C. Heyward Career & Technology Center where he developed the skills to move on to a long and successful career as a Machinist, Team Leader and Supervisor. Relocating to the Lowcountry, he began his career with Bosch in 1976 at the age of 18. While falling in love with life in the Lowcountry, he also fell in love with his devoted wife, Tracy, of over 30 years. He moved on to a 10 year career at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and 26 years with J.W. Over the years, he has been blessed with two children and two grandchildren. Since retiring he has used his skills working for a relative's family owned small business. Ralph Elsey has lived through our history, understands where we have been, and has a clear vision of where we need to go. Less government, lower taxes, responsible spending, and family-driven education are all priorities for Ralph Elsey. He is committed to protecting your 2nd Amendment rights as written in the U.S. Constitution. He has seen first hand the hard work and dedication it takes to run a small business and knows that leveling the playing field between corporations and small business is a battle that needs to be fought. He also knows accountability and changes are needed so that the roads we drive everyday are safe, sound and smooth avenues to supporting and transporting our most precious cargo, our families. Ralph Elsey has served his community through volunteerism with local youth sports and the Friends of Berkeley Animal Center, is a former deacon at Wassamassaw Baptist, and is now an active member at Sandridge Baptist Church. If you want to change what happens in Columbia,
you have to change who you send there. Ralph Elsey is From Here, For Us...
