Another Moab Icon has passed on, we have lost Mr. "Mean Gene"Leonard. I remember how he could scare many a HS student "back to class" with just a glare.... followed by a grin! He was one of those special people that Made Moab The best place to grow up in, his involvement in school was extensive, Vice Principal, Coach, chaperone, advisor and hall monitor 🤣!
I have missed seeing he and his honey strolling around town hand in hand, which always gave me a smile that warmed my soul. Thank you for your service to our community and the many many generations of Moab students who's lives you have touched. Rest in Peace Mr Leonard I am certain your Martha was so ready to see you again. May your wonderful family be wrapped in the love from this community in the sad days ahead.~ Cricket Green
