I want to thank Habitat for Humanity (Chris Coleman-CEO) for partnering with Ramsey and Hennepin county to lay flooring in one of their homes in North Minneapolis.

Once again I was able to partner with my co-organizer Edelson Hennepin County Commissioner, with Tara Jeben-Sign Ramsey County, Kevin Anderson, Hennepin County and Irene Fernando, Hennepin County and our teams!

When we come together across County lines, we build stronger relationships, more homes, stronger communities and more opportunities for families to achieve the dream of homeownership!

*2025 Hamline Midway Annual Meeting & Community Festival*

I had a wonderful time joining neighbors at the 2025 Hamline Midway Annual Meeting & Community Festival this evening. I appreciated the chance to mingle with the crowd, listen to community stories, and share a few words about our shared commitment to Hamline Midway. This annual gathering is such a beautiful reminder of what makes this neighborhood a special place to live, work, and play — neighbors, local businesses, and community organizations all coming together in one space.

We enjoyed an evening of fun and fellowship, with powerful highlights and stories from neighbor-led Hamline Midway Coalition organizing committees and meaningful updates from the Midway Investment Cooperative. It was a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, local partners, organizations, and changemakers who are investing their time and energy into our community’s future. A delicious free meal, catered by local businesses, made the night even more special.

It was also wonderful to be joined by St. Paul Mayor-elect Kaohly Her, Ramsey County Commissioner Garrison McMurtrey (District 3), and St. Paul City Council Member Molly Coleman (Ward 4).

A special thank you to the Hamline Midway Coalition and the Midway Investment Cooperative for hosting this event. I’m grateful to be part of celebrating our neighborhood’s collective impact and the vibrant future we are building together in Hamline Midway.
