💸 Trump’s White House is reportedly pressuring Republican lawmakers to allow his face on a $250 bill. Americans are struggling to afford basic necessities, and instead of addressing the cost of living crisis, they are creating more taxpayer-funded propaganda.

Current law exists for a reason: no living person is supposed to appear on U.S. currency. Public money should serve the public, not fuel political vanity projects or personality cults.

Memorial Day began as Decoration Day, a tradition born in the aftermath of the Civil War, when freed Black Americans honored the dead and fought to redefine freedom, dignity, and democracy in a country built on exploitation and violence. 🇺🇸🕊️

For more than two decades, the United States has remained entangled in war across the Middle East while defense contractors, corporate interests, and political elites have continued to profit from cycles of destruction and instability. The human cost has been carried far from the decision-makers, by working-class families who lose loved ones, by communities shaped by grief, and by generations asked to bear the long shadow of conflict.

We honor the America lives whose service and sacrifice were shaped by forces larger than themselves. Honoring them means refusing to accept endless war as a permanent condition. It means recognizing that no family should have to trade their children for survival or opportunity, and that no generation should be repeatedly sent into conflicts without end or resolution.

Today is not only about remembrance, it is about our collective responsibility to choose peace.

Francesca is running to build a Wisconsin where everyone has a seat at the table and where government serves the needs of the many, not the will of the few. Her leadership and commitment to economic justice have earned our endorsement for Governor.

The Wisconsin Living Wage Coalition is hosting its next town hall event feating Citizen Action of Wisconsin, Our Wisconsin Revolution, United Auto Workers, and more! We will be joined by State Representative Angelina Cruz, living wage legislation sponsor.

WHEN: Thursday May 19th, at 6pm
WHERE: Racine Teachers Union Hall (1201 West Boulevard)

We’ll be discussing topics like stagnant wages, what happened to workers bargaining power, and what we are going to do to organize, fight, and win comprehensive living wage legislation.
