How Milford Votes
NH government is a representative democracy: we elect some of our fellow citizens to represent us in the State House and Senate. This post is the introduction to an occasional series whose purpose is to inform Milford residents as to how those representatives are voting on important issues.
The votes reported in the first posts in this series are recorded roll call votes for the 2025 NH House and Senate from the official Legislature information site. Each post includes a link to the bill detail page for the House version of the bill (the Senate version can be found from there). All House roll call votes are available on our website in an easily searched form. When the legislature reconvenes, we'll begin some of those votes.
Note that a great many votes are not recorded because they are voice votes. Also, because some motions are various ways of not passing the bill, votes on those motions (Table, Inexpedient To Legislate, Refer to Study, etc) are reversed: In Favor is against the bill, Opposed is supporting the bill).
If you are interested in following bills as they are considered by the legislature, the official information site has very thorough information, and you can subscribe to email notices for status changes (such as scheduled hearings and votes) on any bill. Follow the tag for posts in this series.
