Flint Public Library A good book has no ending. ~R.D. Cu***ng The Flint Public Library has a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books in its collection.

In addition to these books, there are current issues of magazines and newspapers, DVDs and video tapes, audio books on tape and CD, audio digital format, large print, and reference books. Patrons can also reserve museum passes to a number of wonderful locations including: The Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, and the New England Aquarium.

Keep an eye out for our Staff Spotlight series, where you’ll learn more about the amazing people on our team! Get to know what they do, what they enjoy, and some of their favorite books. Today’s staff spotlight is about Terry!

Role: Circulation Assistant
Main Duties at the Library: I assist the librarians with tasks that help keep the library running smoothly. Including shelving, pull-lists, emptying the book drop, shelf reading & shifting, etc.
Hobbies: Reading (of course), gardening, sewing, arts & crafts
Favorite Food: Chicken Francese

Are you interested in the Gilded Age? Be sure to visit the Flint Public Library this Thursday (Oct. 22) for an evening of learning all about one of the key artists of the era, Amalia Kussner. Come listen to biographer and local author Kathleen Langone discuss the interactions Kussner had with the heights of Gilded Age personalities (Astors, Vanderbilts, and European royalty) as she met with them to capture their images in miniature portraits.

This will be held in Meeting Rooms A+B at 6:30 PM. There's no need to register ahead of time, so please feel free to show up should you find yourself free.

The event is for ages 18+.
