National Police Woman Day

Today we honor the brave women who serve in law enforcement and recognize their courage, dedication, leadership, and sacrifice.

From the women who helped open doors for others in law enforcement more than a century ago to the women serving our communities today, policewomen continue to make a meaningful difference in public safety and inspire future generations of women to pursue careers in public safety.

Two Miamisburg teachers originally established the event to help students understand what first responders experienced on the ground following the 2001 attacks.

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, and honor the innocent lives lost that day.

We remember the civilians who never made it home, all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

We honor the brave police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders who ran toward danger to help others.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families, friends, and communities who continue to carry their memories.

We remember. We honor. We stand together. We will never forget.

Heads up, Miamisburg! 🚨

On Saturday, September 12, downtown Miamisburg will be hosting the Great Lakes Shrine Association parade. The parade will begin a Long Cleaners and will travel north on Main St, to Ferry and end on Water St.

The parade begins at 11 am. Significant road closures will be in place beginning at 10:30 am and will remain in place until the conclusion of the parade.
