Struggling with whom to vote for? This information will assist your research
Ok Grassroots- These are the most comprehensive scorecards in existence for Oklahoma Republican legislators. Every bill that was passed by the legislature and signed into law was compared against the OKGOP platform. Each bill is rated on whether it aligns with the OKGOP platform, or if the bill is neutral or against it and each legislator’s vote on that bill
This scorecards gives voters the knowledge on whether their legislator’s have been voting in favor of the Oklahoma Republican platform and representing Oklahoma’s conservative values or if they are actively working against them.

Good afternoon:
A bit of an update so far this month. We have a County Commissioner election coming up Furnas vs Needham will be on the ballot. Furnas is the incumbent. I am attempting to arrange a forum for them to attend and open to District residents. Stay tuned for date and location.
A date of 17 July has been set for our Annual Lincoln/Reagan Dinner. More information will be forthcoming but please mark calendars to attend.
I have Jake Merrick yard signs for pickup for whoever would like them. None of the other candidates have sent signs though they have been requested. The primary is coming up 16 June so if anyone still needs further information on who is running etc... please let me know. Having educated and well informed voters is critical this primary. Typically, Ottawa County does not come out and vote during primaries, but we will be deciding a governor among other critical state positions. Please, if you are unsure, reach out and I will do my best to get you info on each candidate. No matter, Ottawa County needs to get out and vote. Exercise that right you have.
The below is some information from our last Chairman call.

Signature Collection begins April 18 for State Question 840

Oklahoma City, OK, April 10, 2026 — Supporters of State Question 840 today announced that the official 90-day signature collection period will begin on April 18, 2026, marking a key step toward placing the proposed constitutional amendment before Oklahoma voters.

State Question 840 would amend the Oklahoma Constitution to guarantee legislative bill hearing rights for all duly elected members while establishing enforceable accountability measures. The proposal is intended to ensure that all representatives have a fair opportunity to present and advance legislation on behalf of their constituents.

The amendment provides a minimum number of committee hearings for authored bills, establishes a process for advancing legislation through both chambers, and sets penalties for noncompliance, including fines and potential expulsion for repeated violations.

Proponents say the measure promotes transparency, fairness, and equal representation by reducing procedural bottlenecks and ensuring all districts have a voice in the legislative process.

“The people of Oklahoma deserve a Legislature that operates with fairness, transparency, and accountability,” said a spokesperson. “State Question 840 ensures that every elected representative has a meaningful opportunity to serve their constituents.”

Beginning April 18, supporters will have 90 days to collect the required number of valid signatures from registered Oklahoma voters to qualify the measure for the statewide ballot.

Citizens interested in supporting State Question 840 are encouraged to volunteer, sign petitions, and help educate others about the proposal. To get involved, visit sq840.com.
