Big congratulations are in order! 🎉

We’re celebrating our Food & Nutrition Services managers who successfully completed the Texas Association of School Nutrition Manager’s Academy for the 2025–2026 school year!

These managers put in the time, learned new skills and continued to grow as leaders for their campuses and teams. We’re proud of their dedication and excited to see them put that knowledge to work.

Way to go, managers! We’re proud of you and this accomplishment!

SAVE-THE-DATE! IT’S OFFICIAL! “A Cafeteria Circus” IS COMING TO TOWN! In just a few weeks, we’re rolling out the big top for National School Lunch Week. This year's theme is Cafeteria Circus! October 5-9, our lunch menu will be packed with carnival-inspired goodies! From Pickle Pizza to Triple Dippers, our special menu items are sure to be a main attraction each day!

This week, we celebrated Laurie Thrash and her retirement from Horn High School! Laurie, thank you for all the 12 years you’ve spent taking care of our students, and being part of the FNS Team! Wishing you a happy retirement filled with plenty of time to relax, enjoy life, and do all the things you’ve been waiting for! You’ll definitely be missed. 🥰

Day One: DONE! 🎉
We did it, Mesquite ISD FNS Team! Our cafeterias were full of familiar faces, big smiles, and lots of hungry kids. A huge thank you to our phenomenal FNS staff. You showed up, worked hard, and made it happen. We loved seeing our students back in the cafeteria! Parents, remember our meals are free for all students of MISD! See you in the morning for breakfast!
