Yikes.
I’ve heard some really great experiences and some not so great, and thankfully - truly, everyone I have worked with has had a positive experience. 🤩 🤩 🤩
But when I hear these stories of others sharing their personal experience or sharing friends’ horror stories I am honestly appalled that some of these things take place. 😣
PLEASE be sure you work with a Realtor you can trust.
Even if you start out hiring your friend who is a Realtor - if you feel uneasy about any step of the process - question them!! It is not too late to speak your concerns and ultimately switch Realtors if need be.
Also - please - please - please!! Read your contracts!! I know it can feel like a lot of information {and it is} but this is YOU signing and agreeing to the terms.
It’s not something I take lightly - even after dozens of contracts I still read every single one personally and am willing to walk through line by line with my clients to make sure they have a strong understanding of what they are agreeing to. {One client bought a New Construction Home and their Contract was nearly 300 pages!! My clients thankfully reviewed the contract themselves but you know who else did? ME. Their Realtor. And I ended up catching a couple errors on the home builder’s side and highlighted areas that I may want clarification on if I were buying the home myself}.
Buying a home is a big deal!!!
Whether you work with me or not - I want you to have the best experience!! 🏠 🫶🏼
