Every day we use and look at hands in our every day life. To make a sandwich or turn on a light switch. Simple every day tasks. Imagine if every time you did these simple tasks and looked at your hands you felt shame, disgust, embarrassment, and regret because of things they've done. We have sat so many times with trafficking survivors with trembling hands who literally hate their hands. This isn't just a shock and awe post. These are vivid real life encounters.
We are just DAYS away from welcoming Eight Days of Hope to our campus for another incredible project that will help bring redemption to hands! 🙌
Next week their team will be:
✨ Laying 2,000 feet of water line
✨ Tiling bathrooms
✨ Building a brand new 16x24 Pottery Barn where dancers and women in our program will be able to experience healing and redemption in their hands through pottery classes
This project includes pouring a cement foundation, sidewalks, and constructing the entire building — and because of YOUR generosity, every anticipated material has already been provided through our Amazon Wishlist! We are overwhelmed with gratitude for each person who gave, shared, and prayed. THANK YOU for helping make this dream a reality. ❤️
As with any large build, there are always unexpected trips to Lowe’s for last-minute supplies, hardware, fittings, and odds and ends needed to keep the project moving.
We are asking 10-15 people to partner with us by donating a $50 Lowe’s gift card before NEXT week to help us get those anticipated odds and ends.
These gift cards may seem small, but they will help build a space where women who once used their hands in ways they regret can now use those same hands to create something beautiful. What the enemy meant for shame, God is redeeming into purpose, healing, and masterpieces. 🏺
If you would like to invest in those hands becoming redeemed, the link for the cards (that will be mailed directly to us) is here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/27NI1D8PO3HF7?ref_=wl_share
Thank you for continuing to stand with the women of A Way Out Ministries. 💙
