A Way Out Ministries

A Way Out Ministries A Way Out Ministries exists to disrupt the vicious cycle of sexual exploitation and trafficking
(1)

A Way Out Ministries was founded in Memphis, Tennessee in 1992 and was the first ministry in the US who specifically sought to help topless dancers

Today, we take action against sexual exploitation and pornography by advocating for legislative changes, helping rescue and restore those victimized by and trapped in the sex industry, and educating the community on the harmful impact of the sex industry.

Today Eight Days of Hope prep team worked from early morning getting the foundation ready to pour our concrete pad.

This space will be used for pottery classes for women being s*xually exploited and trafficked. We can't wait to have a safe space where women will learn to trust, laugh, and find hope again!

Eight Days of Hope prep team and equipment arrived on campus yesterday, bringing joy and service to the women we serve for the next 20 days!

These projects will bring us across the finish line to get our Certificate of Occupancy on our first space! It is so much more than a building! It's a safe space where women will gather, laugh, learn, and heal.

Come follow the next 20 days as we journey through tiles being laid in our bathrooms and hallway, vanities installed, ditches dug and fire line and hydrants placed, kitchen completed, and a new 16x24 workspace for us to have trauma-informed pottery classes, and so much more!

As they work tirelessly on these projects, there's always trips to Lowes we need to take, like yesterday when we needed more spacers for laying tile. We still need your help with securing $50 Lowes Gift Cards on the Pottery Barn Wishlist below. These will allow us to get the needed odds and ends to make sure this safe space is finished. Help us spread the word.

We are so grateful for everyone's generosity in purchasing all the other materials we needed on the list (lights, door know, ventilation fan, utility sink and so much more). If you didn't get a chance to invest yet, we still need the body of Christ to rally for these 15 gift cards.

Thank you for faithfully investing and praying for the ministry. We've got exciting things coming to share and rejoice in!!

Every day we use and look at hands in our every day life. To make a sandwich or turn on a light switch. Simple every day tasks. Imagine if every time you did these simple tasks and looked at your hands you felt shame, disgust, embarrassment, and regret because of things they've done. We have sat so many times with trafficking survivors with trembling hands who literally hate their hands. This isn't just a shock and awe post. These are vivid real life encounters.

We are just DAYS away from welcoming Eight Days of Hope to our campus for another incredible project that will help bring redemption to hands! 🙌

Next week their team will be:
✨ Laying 2,000 feet of water line
✨ Tiling bathrooms
✨ Building a brand new 16x24 Pottery Barn where dancers and women in our program will be able to experience healing and redemption in their hands through pottery classes

This project includes pouring a cement foundation, sidewalks, and constructing the entire building — and because of YOUR generosity, every anticipated material has already been provided through our Amazon Wishlist! We are overwhelmed with gratitude for each person who gave, shared, and prayed. THANK YOU for helping make this dream a reality. ❤️

As with any large build, there are always unexpected trips to Lowe’s for last-minute supplies, hardware, fittings, and odds and ends needed to keep the project moving.

We are asking 10-15 people to partner with us by donating a $50 Lowe’s gift card before NEXT week to help us get those anticipated odds and ends.

These gift cards may seem small, but they will help build a space where women who once used their hands in ways they regret can now use those same hands to create something beautiful. What the enemy meant for shame, God is redeeming into purpose, healing, and masterpieces. 🏺

If you would like to invest in those hands becoming redeemed, the link for the cards (that will be mailed directly to us) is here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/27NI1D8PO3HF7?ref_=wl_share

Every month, women trapped in exploitation are reached with hope because someone chose to give consistently. ❤️

An outreach kit with our helpline number inside.
A meal during outreach.
Transportation to a safe place.
Emergency shelter.
A trusted relationship that helps her take her first step out.

That’s the power of monthly giving.

Right now, nearly half of our yearly support comes in during the final months of the year, making it difficult to plan consistently for outreach, case management, and emergency needs. Our goal is to build a strong community of monthly sponsors who help sustain this mission all year long.

Whether it’s:
✨ $10 to provide outreach supplies
✨ $25 to fund an outreach encounter
✨ $50 to support ongoing care
✨ $100 to help a woman safely exit exploitation

Your monthly partnership helps us continue to advocate, rescue, and restore.

When you become a monthly sponsor, you’re not just making a donation — you’re helping write a new story for a woman searching for a way out.

Will you join us today as a monthly partner?

When a brother or sister holds you accountable in love it is not spiritual abuse. Now...spiritual abuse is ALWAYS wrong and unfortunately a REAL and prevelant thing! Often it's a form of manipulation and control. But biblical accountability is different and critical in a believer's life. Every day our goal is to provide loving biblical accountability with trafficking survivors we serve.

The video is a great illustration of this truth. The metal container in this video is being moved to a place out of the way. However, the foundation it's being laid on is so important! We had to level the ground first, then put landscaping fabric, and next limestone underneath so the foundation is secure. It was a process to prepare where it would go.

In the same way the Word of God and Jesus are our foundation and biblical accountability is there to make sure we are not on shaky ground.

So what's the difference between manipulation, control, and spiritual abuse from biblical accountability? How can you discern the difference?

First, does the accountability align with Scripture? Second, look at the fruit of the person advising and holding you accountable - are they producing Godly fruit that aligns humbly with Scripture or are they producing prideful, manipulative, or controlling fruit?

Let's pray we will not be deceived either way - either to be manipulated or controlled but also not to ignore biblical accountability and mistake it for spiritual abuse.

Christ is our firm foundation! The Rock on which we stand!

A disconnected power line leaves everything in darkness. No light. No connection. No life flowing through it.

That’s what trafficking tries to do — disconnect people from identity, hope, purpose, and love.

But Jesus still restores. ✝️⚡

Our ministry exists to walk alongside survivors and reconnect them to the Source of all power — the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. The same power that conquered death still heals wounds, breaks chains, restores dignity, and brings light back into dark places.

We believe survivors are not defined by what happened to them. They are seen, chosen, loved, and called into freedom.

From brokenness to restoration.
From darkness to light.
From surviving to living.

Would you join our Monthly Donor Campaign and invest any amount monthly through the donate button below to help continue keeping survivors connected to Jesus? We still need 5 more new monthly partners to reach our goal this month! $5, $10, $15, $20 helps us keep the lights on!

We are building a pottery barn where trafficking survivors we serve will find safety, healing, and freedom. We have a team of over 15 volunteers from around the country coming the first week in June to build. Before they arrive, we need your help to get the last of the materials.

Can you get two circuit breakers for under $25 to help fire up the kiln? What about a junction box or outlet for under $10?

Maybe you can be the one who helps us get the locks for these beautiful doors that will ensure everything is safe and secure.

This is a tangible way to reach and restore a trafficking survivor who has faced unimaginable trauma and allow them to use their hands to mold a masterpiece of redemption.

Thank you for helping and please like and share!
