We are excited to announce that the BES Book Fair will be back February 19–26! This is a great opportunity for students to discover new books, build their home libraries, and grow a love for reading. Families are also invited to shop during our Bingo for Books Night on February 26, when the Book Fair will be open during the event! We can’t wait to see our students get excited about books!

💳 A Quick Book Fair Checkout Update! 💵

Parents, I want to give everyone a quick heads-up before Parent-Teacher Conferences tomorrow (Monday, October 20th)!

While I sometimes can get the card reader to work, I can’t guarantee that it will stay operational throughout the fair. To help everything run smoothly and avoid any checkout delays, I strongly recommend bringing cash or a check for purchases at the register.

If you’d prefer a totally cash-free option, you can also set up an eWallet for your student! eWallets are an easy, secure way for students (and parents during conferences) to shop without needing cash on hand.

I don’t want any students or parents to miss out due to a technical hiccup — thank you so much for understanding and helping us keep things running smoothly! ❤️📚

Get ready, readers — the Brighton Elementary School Book Fair opens tomorrow, October 14th, and will run all the way through October 21st! 🎉

Students will visit the Book Fair on the day they come to the library for enrichment, so be sure to send any money (or set up an eWallet! Follow this link: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/brightonelementaryschool6 to set up an eWallet today!) before their library day. 💵💳

The Book Fair will also be open during both Parent-Teacher Conference nights, so families can stop by and shop together! It’s a great time to pick up something special and support our school library. ❤️

The Book Fair starts TOMORROW October 14th!! We are excited to get more books in the hands of our students! If you have not created your student’s eWallet yet and want to, you still have time. Visit our page for more details on the last post. Cash and cards are accepted as well, so when parent/teacher conferences roll through, be sure to stop by! Otherwise, students will be allowed to buy from the fair on their regularly scheduled library enrichment day.

Parents, you can now set up an eWallet for your child to shop at the Book Fair! 🥳

👉 Simply click the link https://www.scholastic.com/bf/brightonelementaryschool6 and it will take you to our Book Fair homepage, where you can create and load an eWallet for your student.

While students can still bring cash to shop, eWallet is a great option if you’d prefer to go completely virtual—no worries about lost money, and your child can still pick out their favorite books!

⚠️ Important note: Any funds left in an eWallet after the fair will not be refunded to your bank account. Instead, Scholastic will issue the remaining balance as a Scholastic gift card and email it directly to you. This gift card can be used online or at future Scholastic fairs.

📅 Don’t forget—the fair runs October 14th–21st and will be open during Parent-Teacher Conferences!
