Memphis City Council, your discussions on this topic are making headlines throughout the nation. Let’s do what’s right this time. Let’s save and invest in our Memphis Redbirds!

Memphis is not some side issue you can shrug off. When that affiliate gets shaky, it reaches right into the part of this organization that is supposed to keep the big club covered when things go sideways.

Cardinals fans have lived through enough roster patches and enough talk about depth to know that Triple-A matters more than people want to admit. AutoZone Park has been part of that pipeline for a long time, and now there is city money, upkeep, and a vote hanging over it.

About as strange as it gets for a club that has always leaned on its system. 🔗👇🏻

| DNAmemphis.org 🏀 BIG NEWS FOR DOWNTOWN MEMPHIS!

Recent reports indicate that Memphis leaders, Shelby County officials, the State of Tennessee, and the Memphis Grizzlies are working toward a long-term agreement that would keep the Grizzlies playing in Downtown Memphis for decades to come.

The proposed plan includes hundreds of millions of dollars in improvements to FedExForum and continued investment in the downtown core, helping ensure that our city remains home to NBA basketball well into the future.

“This is about much more than basketball. The Grizzlies are a major economic driver for Downtown Memphis, bringing visitors to our restaurants, hotels, bars, and entertainment venues while supporting jobs and investment throughout the urban core.” said Downtown Neighborhood Association President Jerred Price.

The discussions also highlight something many downtown residents and stakeholders already know: investing in public safety, cleanliness, infrastructure, and a vibrant entertainment district is critical to the future success of our city.

While details are still being finalized, the momentum behind a long-term commitment is encouraging news for everyone who loves Downtown Memphis and wants to see it continue to grow and thrive.

The Downtown Neighborhood Association will continue advocating for the investments and improvements that make Downtown a place where residents, businesses, visitors, and yes—even professional sports franchises—want to be for generations to come.

Go Grizz! 🐻💙

We agree, Wall Street Journal! 🎶 Let’s bring the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to Memphis, the REAL home of ROCK where it was born!

The Tennessee city, not Cleveland, is the true home of the hopped-up blues music that conquered the world.
