TDOT is hosting two public meetings to give the public a look at the updated design plans for the America’s River Crossing Project. The new I-55 bridge over the Mississippi River will be called Kings’ Crossing in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., B.B. King, and Elvis Presley.

Both meetings run from 5 – 7 p.m. at the locations below:

St. Patrick Catholic Church in Downtown Memphis held a special ceremony to bless its newly restored belltower and cross as part of the church’s 160th anniversary.

Here we go again. Even after voicing the opinion of the community on this topic, the city hall has still moved forward with closing Riverside Drive on weekends.
The Downtown Neighborhood Association of Memphis will push back in a BIG way.
