On the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we pause to remember a day that forever changed our nation.

The images shared with this post depict the horror and devastation of that tragic day, but they also capture extraordinary courage, selflessness, and sacrifice.

Every time the bell sounds, we will continue to answer the call—serving our communities and honoring those who came before us and made the ultimate sacrifice.

We will never forget!

Your Local 5250 - Melissa Firefighters joined first responders from across Texas for the Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. The firefighters climbed 110 floors in full bunker gear, each carrying a name to symbolically complete the climb with one of the fallen.

This year marks 25 years since September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed our nation and the fire service. As we remember the 343 firefighters, 70 law enforcement officers, and 9 EMS workers who made the ultimate sacrifice, their courage, service, and sacrifice continue to inspire us. Their memory will never be forgotten.
