The Crooked Creek Conservation District (Marion County) along with Baxter County Conservation District and Izard County Conservation District would like to welcome Tad Huff and Patrick Thompson to our team. Tad and Patrick will serve the three counties as Feral Hog Technicians. This is a great program if you are having problems with feral hogs on your land. Feral swine are a destructive invasive species. They vary in color from black to brown and even patchwork colors, and range in size from 75 to 250 pounds. We all know the damage these hogs can do to our property is significant to the environment, economy and human health. Feral swine damage habitats, predation on wildlife and disease transmission can be linked to the decline of nearly 300 native plants and animals in the United States, including native game species. . If you are having any problems or would like to talk to the techs you can get in touch with them and work out a plan to eradicate these hogs from doing damage to your property.
