THANK YOU, MEDFORD!

Our 2nd Annual Back-to-School Resource Day was possible because of the incredible generosity and support of our community!

Thanks to donations from our Medford residents and local businesses, we were able to distribute almost 200 backpacks filled with school supplies to help our students start the new school year prepared and excited.

To everyone who donated supplies, THANK YOU!
Every backpack, notebook, pencil, folder, and other item you contributed made its way into the hands of a child in our community. Your generosity truly made a difference.

A huge thank you also goes to our community partners, team members, and volunteers who helped us prepare before the event and worked alongside us throughout the day. From organizing and packing supplies to setting up, welcoming families, distributing backpacks, sharing resources, and helping everything come together, you were an essential part of making this event a success.

We could not have done it without all of you!

Seeing our families come together and watching so many children leave with backpacks full of supplies was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when a community comes together to support its children.

To our residents, businesses, partners, volunteers, and team members: THANK YOU for showing up for Medford’s kids!

It truly takes a community, and we are so grateful for ours.

E-Bike & E-Scooter Safety: Let’s Keep Our Kids Safe!

Medford families, as e-bikes and e-scooters become more popular among children and teens, it is so important for parents and caregivers to understand how they work, the rules of the road, and how to use them safely.

E-bikes and e-scooters can be heavier and faster than traditional bikes, and knowing the rules before our children ride can make a big difference. Safety starts with us! The more we learn, the better prepared we are to teach our children about helmets, speed, visibility, traffic rules, safe places to ride, and being aware of cars and pedestrians.

A great opportunity to learn more is happening this Saturday!

Ride Right, Ride Safe – Family Bike Ride & Safety Skills Event
Saturday, August 29
9:30–11:30 a.m.
239 Commercial Street, Malden
Rain date: August 30

Families can learn about e-bikes, e-motos, e-scooters, rules of the road, and safe places to ride. There will also be FREE helmets, refreshments, and prizes, plus a group bike ride on the Northern Strand Trail and the B2C Bike Kitchen. Bring your bikes!

Even if your child already rides an e-bike or scooter, or is asking for one, take some time to learn about the different types, speeds, laws, and safety recommendations.
