The Medford School District (MSD) welcomes fan comments on its page as a means of sharing experiences, making suggestions or chiming in on educational issues or conversations. Fan comments provide value in that they promote conversation and two-way communication between the school district and the community we serve. However, to ensure exchanges are informative and respectful of diverse viewpoints, staff may remove comments that are off-topic or unrelated to the MSD. Other fan comments that will be removed include:
• SPAM;
• Comments focused on selling a product or service;
• Personal attacks (disagreements are fine, but fans should refrain from engaging in personal attacks or being disrespectful of others); and
• Language (comments including but not limited to: profane or provocative language; hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content; threats; obscene or sexually explicit language will be removed). In the event a fan comment is removed, the communications department will notify the fan who posted it and remind her/him of these guidelines.

Our internet and phone systems are currently down. Our Technology Department is actively working to resolve the issue and restore service as quickly as possible.

Schools are open and operating as normal. While systems are down, some communication and processes may need to happen in person. If you need to check your student out, a handwritten note is helpful for our school staff.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility. Please continue to check your text/email messages and our social media channels for updates as we work to restore service.

The 2026–27 school year is almost here! 📢🎒
Here are the dates you need to know:
🗓️ Aug. 31: School starts for 1st-6th, and 9th graders!
📚 Aug. 31–Sept. 3: Kindergarten Soft Start
Kindergarten students will attend a short, assigned time at their school before the full kindergarten schedule begins.
🎓 Sept. 1: First day for 7th, 8th, and 10th-12th graders.
🍎September 8: Kindergarten officially begins!

Kindergarten Jump Start is a two week long program which encourages our incoming kindergarteners to explore, learn, and make new friends before they officially start their school journey.🎨🏃
