Today, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

From all of us at HOME, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Homelessness does not have a cookie-cutter situation, and many times it is not what we expect.

Sometimes it looks like an elderly woman on a fixed income living in her van.

Sometimes it looks like a senior citizen who has just lost her husband, sitting at the hospital with nowhere to go.

Sometimes it looks like an elderly woman holding an eviction notice and not knowing what comes next.

Sometimes it looks like a young man leaving incarceration and trying to rebuild his life without a stable or sober environment to return to.

Sometimes it looks like a man with special needs living in a metal shed with no electricity.

Sometimes it looks like the man living in a tent -just trying to survive another night.

And these “sometimes” are only a 'portion' of the stories we are currently serving — right here in Warren County.

At HOME, we meet people in all stages of life and crisis. Behind every situation is a human being with a story, not just a statistic. ❤️

We cannot let this weekend close without expressing our sincere gratitude to Maverick Morgan, Matthew 28:19, and a host of others that made Friday's golf tournament such a great success.

We were humbled to watch Mavericks servant's heart in action as he choreographed numerous sponsors and teams for an afternoon that appeared seamless.

We also want to thank Matt and Kendice Prater and St Thomas Ascension for the donation of toiletries.

A special thanks to Linda Paris and the Warren County high School Culinary Class. The food was amazing!

Also special thanks to Tiffany Morgan, Sheriff, Jackie Matheny Jr. First Baptist Church, American Solutions for Business, Little Sprouts Learning Ctr, Sugs Sandbox, every golf team, and every volunteer.

You all made it such a sweet day for and our hearts are full of appreciation. Maverick, we know that God has big plans for your life and we will be watching and there to support you on your next mission!

A big THANK YOU to the Life Group from Experience Church for the facelift to The Haven, our women and childrens shelter and transitional living home. The women loved the new paint! We also want to extend our thanks to Sherwin Williams for their donation of paint!
If your church or organization is in need of a project, there's lots of opportunity here as the entire house is in need of a fresh coat!

“By His wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5

Today, on Good Friday, we pause and reflect on the magnitude of the ultimate sacrifice, love, and redemption.

It’s a reminder that even in the darkest moments when a person is void of all material possessions and shelter, hope is not lost.

At HOME, we see that truth lived out every day—through new beginnings and restored lives. We are grateful to be part of stories where hope rises during the harshest of times.

Because of Him, hope is never out of reach.

Today, we remember. And we hold space for hope. ❤️

Incredible work is happening in Warren County, and UCHRA recently had the opportunity to see it firsthand.

The Homeless of McMinnville Effort (HOME) welcomed UCHRA and the Upper Cumberland Continuum of Care for a visit that highlighted what can happen when community partners come together to support neighbors in need. HOME is changing lives by helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness find not only shelter, but also hope, stability, and a path forward.

At UCHRA, we know real change happens through partnership. We are proud to work alongside organizations like HOME to help expand access to resources, create opportunities, and build a stronger, more connected Upper Cumberland.
