“Because sometimes that’s what has to be done. You have to lay down with it. The hurt. Or the heartache or even the hate. Whatever is inside. Sometimes you have to get close to it. Taste it and understand it so you can define it, before it defines you.”

What's the most important day of your life?

01/10/2021

ICYMI:

Big thank you to Chaplain Fuentes and Jacky for leading this month's session of Unscripted on the importance of identity.

They discussed how easy it is for us to lose sight of our true identity, especially in stressful times or when we're immersed in technology, highlighting the story of Jacob.

Chaplain's advice on discovering identity through trials:
Without struggle and resistance, there is no growth. We may not like the process, but through it we can become better people, better fathers and mothers.

Jacky's advice on how to overcome our negative beliefs about ourselves or regrets about our past:
Counseling, journaling, talking to a friend are all good ways to come to terms with the past and rise above it.

If you missed it, the recording will be up on our page soon. And stay tuned for the next Uncripted virtual session coming up in February.
