Garbage collection for next Tuesday and Thursday(2-10,2-12) will go as follows. Everyone with Tuesday and Thursday garbage pickup will have their garbage picked up both Tuesday and Thursday. We are running two trucks and will run both days. Wednesday pickup will go as scheduled. Thanks

Please remove emptied garbage cans from street. Since we are running routes twice this week, this will be extra important to eliminate our drivers wasting their time with empty cans. Thanks

Garbage pickup for the week of 2-2 through 2-6-26 will be as follows:
We ask that everyone who has city garbage collection put their cans out on Tuesday, regardless of their normal scheduled time.
We will be running both garbage trucks and will run each route twice.
There may be some roads that are still too hazardous during the early part of the week, but we will get them as conditions improve.
Please do not pile trash on top of the cans. Only trash inside of cans will be picked up.
The landfill in Camden has been closed for several days. This is going to create long delays for our trucks to be unloaded. Please understand we will move as expeditiously as possible in collecting everyone’s garbage this week. Thank you.

McEwen City Hall will be closed on Monday(1-26-26) and Tuesday(1-27-26) due to hazardous road conditions. If you have a serious water issue, you may call dispatch at 296-7792 and we will be notified. Alternative garbage collection dates and times will be posted at a later date. Road conditions are very hazardous and we encourage everyone to stay home if possible. Thank you.

The City of McEwen is taking precautions for the upcoming winter storm.
*The McEwen Police Department will be operating with additional personnel and extended hours as needed.
*Public Works will be operating with extended hours.
* Garbage collection service may be interrupted as long as hazardous road conditions exist.
*We encourage residents to shut water off to outside hydrants if possible.
*Leave water dripping to prevent freezing pipes.
*Please avoid getting on roads during hazardous conditions.
*Stay safe and weather aware.
