I do not normally post a video of this length here on Facebook, but this is a video of the Governor’s Conference held this week. It highlights the things and all the CVAOs across the state are doing daily to assist our veterans and veterans’ survivors access the benefits they earned while in the military. Thank you to everyone who participated and called attention to this very important work we all do!

Our Hometown Heroes banners are available again this year! 🇺🇸

Let’s come together as a community to honor the brave veterans of McCormick County and celebrate the sacrifices they have made for our freedom. If you are a veteran—or have a veteran in your family who has served in any branch of the United States military—please consider purchasing a banner in their honor.

Each banner will be proudly displayed year after year as a lasting tribute to their service, courage, and sacrifice.

For those interested in ordering a banner for this year, the order form along with all instructions are here.

I wanted to say a big Thank You to one of our local MAVA veterans who made this beautiful dropbox for our office. We have placed it in the lobby of the Administrative Building. If you have an American flag that needs to be properly retired, please leave it in the box and we will be sure the MAVA folks see to its proper disposal.

Find out why I've been filing Intents to File long before submitting your claims. Fully-developed claims need all the evidence sent with the application due to the speed with which the VA is processing claims right now.

This is a day late, but I am honored to know so many Vietnam veterans who served proudly during a very difficult time in our history. For those who were exposed to Agent Orange and who still suffer from that exposure, your country thanks you for your service. For all those who were exposed and did not survive, your sacrifice does not go unnoticed. We honor you all!!

This year marks 65 years since Agent Orange was first sprayed in Vietnam, leaving a lasting impact on countless veterans, their families, and generations to come.

Today, we honor the brave Vietnam veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange and who have suffered from illnesses and lasting health effects as a result. We also remember those who lost their lives, and the families who continue to carry the weight of their sacrifice.

Their service came at a tremendous cost—one that many have endured long after returning home.

On Agent Orange Awareness Day, let us remember these heroes, recognize their sacrifices, and honor the families who stood beside them through the years.

🇺🇸 We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Please join us in remembering the Vietnam veterans affected by Agent Orange and the families who have shared in their sacrifice.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice. 🙏🇺🇸
